Ms. Stiller handled her first medical staff privileges dispute in 1983, and there have been many more since. Over the years, she has seen all three sides of such disputes, sometimes representing the hospital, sometimes the organized medical staff, sometimes the affected physician. Ms. Stiller has helped hospitals and medical staffs revise their medical staff bylaws and designed conflict-of-interest policies to deal with the thorny issue of physicians' involvement in competing health systems.
She has written and negotiated dozens of hospital-physician contracts of various kinds, and is currently involved in structuring a hospital system's donation of electronic health records technology to local physicians in a manner consistent with the Stark and Anti-Kickback Laws.
